A Heritage Revival
In 2010, Garrisson embarked on an ambitious project to restore Redcourt, a heritage property built in 1888. Acquired by the Victorian Government, the property had fallen into a dilapidated state after serving various roles, including as a boarding house in the 1950s. It had been abandoned in 1996 and left empty, with squatters occupying it. Recognizing the potential for this historical asset, Garrisson strategically purchased Redcourt amidst rumors of its demolition for redevelopment into apartments. This acquisition showcased his ability to identify unique opportunities and secure valuable properties through informed decision-making.
Hands-On Restoration Mastery
Garrisson's hands-on approach to the restoration demonstrated his dedication to preserving architectural integrity while preparing the property for a new chapter. He balanced conservation with contemporary reinvention, infusing the mansion with a universal design language that enhanced its appeal and market value.
Innovative Design Integration
Throughout the restoration, Garrisson balanced conservation with contemporary reinvention. He infused the mansion with a universal design language that varied in each room, collaborating with artists and designers like Akira Isogawa, David Bromley, and John Warwicker. These creative inputs transformed Redcourt into a synergistic historic charm and modern comfort. This strategic approach preserved the property's heritage and enhanced its appeal and market value.
A Cultural Renaissance
Garrisson envisioned Redcourt not just as a residence but as a cultural and artistic hub. The mansion became a space for creative expression, with unique design elements like an exotic Bedouin tent-inspired music room and a children’s bedroom adorned with Enid Blyton-esque narratives. This transformation fostered an environment of cultural exchange and artistic collaboration, adding significant cultural value to the property and the community.

Record-Breaking Success
After completing the restoration, Garrisson sold Redcourt in 2015, setting a record price in Armadale. This successful exit underscored his expertise in heritage property investment and restoration. The project's profitable outcome demonstrated Garrisson's ability to enhance market value through strategic restoration and innovative development. Redcourt is a testament to his investment prowess, reflecting his respect for historical architecture and commitment to excellence as a real estate developer.
